Reinstall Windows Media Player in Vista
There is no way possible to reinstall Windows Media Player being that it is part of the actual Vista program.
The issue I was experiencing was not being able to play audio or video files (via audio/video streaming). In other words, I would have to download the file to my hard drive prior to Playing the files within Windows Media Player.
Solution 1 :
Open Explorer and goto —-> C:WindowsSystem32
Then find the cmd.exe
right click on it and run as Administrator
Once opened type in the window this command
sfc /scannow
Then find the shortcut icon for WMP
right click on it and run as Administrator.
Solution 2 :
1. Open a command prompt as Administrator
2. Type regsvr32 wmnetmgr.dll
3. Hit Enter then click OK.
Now streaming proxy settings shows:
HTTP——>Browser
RTSP——>None
Solution 3 :
C00D11DA – Windows Media Player cannot play, synchronize, or burn a protected file because an error occurred while verifying the license. This issue occurs if the Digital Rights Management (DRM) system is corrupted on the computer.
To resolve this issue, download and then run the DRM_reset.exe file to automatically reset the DRM system.
To download the DRM_reset.exe file, visit the following Napster Web site:
