{"id":405,"date":"2012-06-10T15:53:13","date_gmt":"2012-06-10T15:53:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.extradrm.com\/?p=405"},"modified":"2012-06-10T15:53:13","modified_gmt":"2012-06-10T15:53:13","slug":"reinstall-windows-media-player-in-vista","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.extradrm.com\/?p=405","title":{"rendered":"Reinstall Windows Media Player in Vista"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There is no way possible to reinstall Windows Media Player being that it is part of the actual Vista program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0The\u00a0issue I was experiencing was not being able to play audio or video files (via audio\/video streaming).\u00a0 In other words, I would have to download the file to my hard drive prior to Playing\u00a0the files within Windows Media Player.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Solution 1 :<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Open Explorer and goto\u00a0&#8212;-&gt;\u00a0 C:WindowsSystem32<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Then\u00a0find the cmd.exe <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">right click on it and run as Administrator<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Once opened\u00a0type in the window this command<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sfc \/scannow\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Then find the shortcut icon for\u00a0WMP <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">right click on it and run as Administrator.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Solution 2 :<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1. Open a command prompt<\/span> as Administrator<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">2. Type regsvr32 wmnetmgr.dll<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">3.
