There is no way possible to reinstall Windows Media Player being that it is part of the actual Vista program.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The\u00a0issue I was experiencing was not being able to play audio or video files (via audio\/video streaming).\u00a0 In other words, I would have to download the file to my hard drive prior to Playing\u00a0the files within Windows Media Player.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Solution 1 :<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Open Explorer and goto\u00a0—->\u00a0 C:WindowsSystem32<\/span><\/p>\n

Then\u00a0find the cmd.exe <\/span><\/p>\n

right click on it and run as Administrator<\/span><\/p>\n

Once opened\u00a0type in the window this command<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sfc \/scannow\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then find the shortcut icon for\u00a0WMP <\/span><\/p>\n

right click on it and run as Administrator.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution 2 :<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Open a command prompt<\/span> as Administrator
\n2. Type regsvr32 wmnetmgr.dll<\/span>
\n3. Hit Enter then click OK.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now streaming proxy settings shows:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

HTTP——>Browser
\nRTSP——>None<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution 3 :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

C00D11DA<\/strong> – Windows Media Player cannot play, synchronize, or burn a protected file because an error occurred while verifying the license. This issue occurs if the Digital Rights Management (DRM) system is corrupted on the computer.<\/span><\/p>\n

To resolve this issue, download and then run the DRM_reset.exe file to automatically reset the DRM system.<\/span><\/p>\n
